BELL and Barge (engineering and inspection) were selected by the City of Bartlett's Board of Mayor and Aldermen in August of 2019 to complete Phase 2 of the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) grant project. Once completed, the greenway will link the Santa Valley trail head with the Brunswick community. The portion BELL constructed in Phase 2 included just over half-a-mile of 12' wide paved greenway and a pedestrian bridge that crosses over Fletcher Creek; it connects to Madison Arthur Byrd Park at Summerdale Drive. This is just one more step in the parks and recreation division's mission of Providing Bartlett residents with quality, fun recreational opportunities and facilities. More information about the project is available on the City of Bartlett website.

"We love it. I think it's going to be a wonderful amenity to our park system, and it's going to be used by, I know, thousands and thousands of people for the years to come," said Shan Criswell, Bartlett Parks and Recreation Director.

Echoing those sentiments, Mayor McDonald stated: "It's for the future... Today, as we think about a healthy Bartlett future, these greenways are going to be a huge part of that. I look forward to them being used. It's great to be in Bartlett and to have so many recreational outdoor activities."

Special thanks to Pioneer Bridge and Perry Pavement, along with the other trade partners who played a part in helping us successfully complete Phase 2 of the Fletcher Creek Greenway.
