BELL actively seeks and engages up and coming talent by providing an environment in which college students can receive on the job experience, be mentored by a professional in the construction industry, and complete college internship/co-op requirements. Whether a student is interested in a future career in project management, jobsite supervision, estimating, or safety, BELL has numerous opportunities to align our resources for a beneficial experience for the student.

At BELL, we value the importance of fostering the growth and knowledge of the next generation of the construction workforce. We achieve this growth by providing an environment in which open communication is available to ensure that the student is taught, challenged, and receives feedback for both successes and areas for improvement.

Internships and co-ops are available in various durations as short as a summer or as long as a multi-term rotation corresponding with a college curriculum rotation. Part-time internships during a semester are also available. Students interested in an internship may send a resume to info@balp.com.

“The internship program at BELL provided me with an excellent opportunity to learn about the construction industry. It gives constructive feedback to interns and lays the important groundwork necessary to work in construction. Having access to many experienced mentors, I was able to see the operations and family-like culture at BELL, which ultimately led to my decision to work full time after I completed my degree.”

- Evan Rankin – Project Management/Estimating Intern
University of Tennessee Knoxville, B.S. Civil Engineering, May 2017

“Accepting an internship with BELL is more than just a summer job, it’s gaining experience that will help for a lifetime. My two terms with BELL has not only taught me about the construction process, it has taught me how to work with other people and how a construction jobsite should work. An internship with BELL is just for a short time, but the relationships you make with BELL’s employees and the lessons you learn from them will last a lifetime, no matter where you may ultimately end up.”

- Jared Rendleman – Project Supervision Intern
Murray State University, B.S. Construction Engineering, May 2019

“My time at BELL provided me the necessary foundation to be a respected manager. The skills I learned during my internship were those that cannot be taught in the classroom. The hands-on training is 2nd to none. BELL tailors every internship experience to each individual’s strengths and weaknesses. BELL provides many teambuilding activities to where it is not just a company but a home.”

- Kayla Potter – Project Management Intern
Middle Tennessee State University, B.S. Commercial Construction Management, December 2014

“My co-op rotation at BELL has allowed me to gain a better understanding of how the components of a building come together. I have been given the opportunity to work on many different tasks such as performing quantity take-offs, reviewing and processing submittals, and checking concrete formwork, rebar, and concrete mix designs for footings on a large hotel project. Being with BELL has prepared me for a career in the construction industry by allowing me to experience firsthand many of the responsibilities that are required of a construction professional on a daily basis.”

- Wilson Hays – Project Management Co-op
Auburn University, B.S. Building Science, August 2019
