First Tennessee Ballpark

Bell and Associates, in partnership with Barton Malow and Harmony Construction Group, was the Construction Manager at Risk for the new Triple-A Nashville Sounds Ballpark.  The LEED Silver Ballpark resides in the Historic location of the Sulphur Dell Ballpark on the North side of downtown Nashville, bringing new life into an essential part of the city.  Sulphur Dell is the original home of Nashville’s minor league team and was used from 1870 - 1963.  The construction was completed within 12 months for the Spring of 2015 Baseball Season Opener.  The completed 100,000 S.F.

Austin Peay State University Governors Stadium

Bell & Associates was the Construction Manager at Risk for the renovation and construction of Governors Stadium on the APSU campus. Due to the constraints of the athletic and academic schedule, construction began immediately following the final game of the 2013 football season.  The project was completed on schedule within the nine month time frame and was ready for the season opener in September of 2014.  Bell provided complete Preconstruction Phase and Construction Phase services.    

Women's Basketball Hall of Fame

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame is a one-of-a-kind interactive museum located in downtown Knoxville, TN, home of the repeat National Champion, Lady Vols. The museum is a feature element of the downtown and waterfront redevelopment plan. The 28,000 SF structure consists of a two-story steel frame with circular rotundas at each end. 

University of Tennessee, Thompson-Boling Sports Arena

Home of the Vols and Lady Vols basketball teams, the University of Tennessee’s Thompson-Boling Sports Arena is one of the nation’s premier basketball facilities. Records for attendance are consistently set in the 24,535-seat structure, the second largest on-campus arena in the nation. NBA, WNBA, and NCAA basketball games are also played in the arena. Thompson-Boling contains more than 411,000 SF of floor space. It features a continuous-ring concourse that encircles the building.   There are eight large restrooms, six concession areas and 32 portals into seating areas.

University of Tennessee, Neyland Stadium

Neyland Stadium is the home of the University of Tennessee Volunteers and the nation’s third largest college football stadium. In a 2001 poll conducted by The Sporting News, Neyland was ranked the nation’s No.1 stadium. Although Bell was not involved in the stadium’s original construction, it has helped with a number of expansion projects. In 1996, Bell added 10,000 seats to the north end zone, as well as a new upper deck, scoreboard with animated graphics, rooftop and sound system. Next, a 42-by-132-foot Jumbotron was installed in the upper deck of the south end zone.
