BELL TAKES THEIR PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE EXPERIENCE EAST

Bell & Associates Construction will soon add another pedestrian bridge to their resume. Bell is set to begin construction on the Greenway Pedestrian Bridge, just outside of Knoxville, Tenn. The bridge will span US 129 (The Alcoa Highway) with a 225 foot long prefabricated steel truss bridge. More than 975 cubic yards of concrete and 14 decorative columns will make up the bridge. When complete, The Greenway Pedestrian Bridge will serve as a welcome to travelers as they enter the city of Alcoa and a pathway for pedestrians as they cross over the busy highway from one greenway to another. The project is scheduled to be complete September 2010.

Bell is noted for their award winning work on the historic Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge and the award winning Cumberland Pedestrian, both in Nashville.
